NatureFest
& Fall Plant Sale grossed a record $16,000 with attendance of 1780
people. NatureFest sponsors Citgo Corpus Christi Refinery,
H-E-B Plus, Valero, and Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program
underwrote the day's nature seminars and Children's Learning Area.
NatureFest welcomed partner agencies Texas Forest Service, Beautify
Corpus Christi Association and Texas Cooperative Extension.
Ladybug releases, Segway demo rides, a Texas Jazz Festival group,
Arbor Day Tree Planting with mayor Henry Garrett and Smokey Bear
kept young and old delightfully entertained. |
